Health warning on keratin hair straightening products
Recently in the news I have been hearing that a lot of the new straightening systems in salons (brazilian blowout and others like it) have been found to contain excessive levels of formaldehyde. Some consumer complaints have been symptoms of burning eyes, nose, throat and trouble breathing. They also have been linked to hair loss and cancer when inhaled over a long period of time.

How do you go about finding a new hair dresser?
- I am looking for new ways for new clients to find me. How do you find your hair dressers? Where do you look, is it all word of mouth, or did you just meet them while you were out? What attracts your attention? I would love to here some feedback.

Beachy Wave
This type of curl is relaxed and gives a bouncy bend. Spray clean, dry hair with a heat protectant (I prefer Enjoy or Redken) and take a 1-inch wide section of hair into your hand. Hold the section at the tip, and place the iron a few inches away from the roots. Loosely wind the hair around the curling iron in any direction. Hold for 5 seconds, and release. Repeat this process around the entire head, and finish with a hairspray to hold the style.
